Do you deliver?
Yes, delivery is available. There is a charge based on the particular order and the distance to be traveled. Your sales associate will be happy to provide you with a quote.
How can I pay for my rental?
UniRents and PartiRents accepts cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and local checks for payment of rentals. If you would like us to bill you or your company, it is necessary to first establish a charge account. Deposits are taken in cash or Credit Card only.
When do I pay for my rental?
All payments and deposits are required at the beginning of the rental period.
What do I need in order to rent?
If you or your company has an established charge account with UniRents, we follow the guidelines provided by your company. For an individual or company that does not have an account with us, we require, at minimum, a valid New Jersey driver's license, plus the payment and/or deposit for the rental.
Can I get a better price if I rent an item for an extended period of time?
Yes. Our rates do vary from half-day to monthly rental periods. On most equipment a weekly rental is equal to approximately 4 days, and a month is equal to approximately 3 weeks. For most party equipment, Friday to Monday is equal to one "day" rental.
Can I reserve an item?

How far ahead must I reserve an item?
The best suggestion we have is to reserve what you need as soon as you know you will need it (especially party items). Availability varies widely by the item, day of the week, season, and the weather. No single time is appropriate for everything.
What is your cancellation policy?
You are welcome to cancel your order at any time. Notification as soon as possible is, of course, greatly appreciated since that allows us to rent the item to another customer. We would much rather have you call to cancel a rental instead of just not showing up for it. In the cases where a deposit was required to make the reservation, like trucks or certain party items, the deposit will be refunded only if the order is canceled within that item's allowed cancellation period. No single time is appropriate for everything, ask your rental agent for the appropriate time period.
How late can I change my order?
You can change your order at any time before the rental starts.
When does my rental time start and stop?
Your rental time starts when the contract is opened. Your time stops when the contract is checked in by your rental agent.
Truck Rentals are from 8 am to 8 am. Your time stops when the contract is checked in by your rental agent. For party rentals, the time period is more "event" oriented. We will take your special circumstances into consideration and charge accordingly. You are charged for time out, not time used.
Is a "day" rental for 24 hours?
Yes. our "day" rate refers to a 24 hour day. On Heavy construction equipment you are only allowed 8 clock hours per 24 hour period. ( Example Equipment rented at 8am in the morning would be due back at 8 am the following day. For most party equipment, Friday to Monday is equal to one "day" rental. Truck Rentals are 24 hours starting at 8 am.
What if I pick up a truck at 11am. What time is the truck due in?
The truck is due in at 8 am the following morning. We are holding the truck for you and is available for your pick up at that 8 am. Truck Rentals are 24 hours with a starting time of 8 am.
What if I put more than 8 hours on your equip. but return it within 24 hours?
You are allowed 8 clock hours on metered machines. If you go over the 8 hours within a 24 hour period you will be charged 1/8 of the daily rate per hour or part of.
What if I put less than 8 hours on your equip. but need it longer than 24 hours?
You are allowed 8 clock hours per. 24 hours no credit for unused hours. Overtime is 1/8 per hour overtime or any part of.
Can you set up the equipment for me?
Our quoted rates do not include set up or take down. If this service is desired, we would be happy to make arrangements. Those arrangements must be made prior to the delivery and/or pickup, with a special quoted charge.
I see a Damage Waiver on my contract. What is that?
With the Damage Waiver, as specified, subject to the limitations and exclusions below, UniRents agrees to modify the terms of this contract and relieve you of any liability for accidental damage to the rented item(s) on this contract, and for loss due to fire, collision, sandstorm, upset, and riot. We exclude from this waiver, however, any loss or damage due to your failure to care for the rental items(s) as a prudent person would his/her own property, such as proper lubrication. Damage to tires and tubes due to blow out, cuts, bruises, road hazards, or other causes inherent in the use of the item(s) is excluded. In addition, if the item(s) rented is a truck, you are not relieved of liability of accidental damage to the truck body caused by striking a stationary object. If ANY loss tends to indicate a crime may have been committed, a further condition of this waiver is that you must file a report to the proper law enforcement authorities and furnish us with a copy. In addition, if you have insurance for the loss or damage, you shall exercise, and shall empower us to exercise, all your rights to obtain recovery under insurance shall cooperate with UniRents Inc. to obtain recovery, and all insurance proceeds shall be given or assigned to UniRents Inc..
I really like this piece of equipment. Can I buy?
At certain times, UniRents will sell used equipment. The price we quote will be based on the age and condition of the equipment.
What if the equipment I have rented is stolen?
First, call the Police, then call UniRents.
Can I return an item when UniRents is closed?
The only thing that can be returned after hours are trucks, which can be locked securely and the keys put in the key drop box. There is no safe place to leave other pieces of equipment. You would be held responsible for any items dropped off after hours and subsequently stolen.
Do I have to wash equipment before I return it?
Construction and homeowner equipment should be returned reasonably clean if only to protect your vehicle.
Party equipment such as china, glassware, and flatware need to be rinsed clean. Linens do not need to be washed but should be shaken and returned free of debris. Food service equipment such as grills and hot dog cookers should be washed for sanitary reasons. A cleaning deposit is automatically required for grills and certain other equipment.
Do you sell the other supplies I need to complete my project?
For almost everything that we rent, if there is an accessory or product that goes with it, we sell it. We sell carbide blades, nails, staples, sandpaper, boxes, tape, earplugs, gloves, carpet cleaning detergent, balloons, plastic table covers, and many more things. If you need it for you project along with your rental equipment, just ask your rental agent and we will have it.
Do you sell propane?
